After a season that saw the Lady Cavaliers reclaim the FAC volleyball championship and Gold Ball, several members of the team were selected to the All-District team yesterday.
Senior Johanna Crawford was selected to the All-District First Team after a season in which she averaged 25.8 assists per game in FAC play and recorded her 1,000th assist of her career. Crawford was also named to the District 14 All-Star Game, which will be played on November 15th at Southeastern High School. Senior Maleah Oney was named to the All-District Second Team, along with sophomore teammate Morgan Daniels. Oney averaged 8.5 kills per game and 2.4 aces per game while Daniels averaged 21.8 digs per game, all in FAC competition en route to the Gold Ball.
The three All-District players were not the only ones who received recognition for their performance this fall, as head coach Andrew Vitatoe was named District 14 Coach of the Year by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association. Vitatoe looks to continue his success as the Lady Cavs head coach and lead his team to another FAC title in 2022.
