Cavs Tennis clinches FAC Championship

Chillicothe’s boys tennis team defeated Jackson 3-2 on Wednesday, clinching the Frontier Athletic Conference championship, according to Chillicothe Coach Miguel Flores.
Flores said the Cavaliers improved to (11-4) overall and finished (8-0) in conference play.
It marks the third consecutive FAC title for Chillicothe, all of them coming with undefeated conference records.

Chillicothe won three of the five matches in the dual. Noah Flores earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles over Christian Burtham, while Elijah Yandila won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles against Fernando Villebrille. Yohan Abreu secured the deciding point with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles over Lucas Brown. In doubles play, Lyric Graves and Malachi Upshaw fell 6-7, 3-6 to Grady Massie and Landon Profitt at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, Eli Esham and Bradley Hunt lost 2-6, 6-7 to Jayce Moore and Joel Carroll.
Chillicothe will travel to Pickerington North this afternoon.
