Six Local Students Participate in Mock Trial

Students from Chillicothe High School participated in an educational competition focused on the legal system on January 26th, 2024. According to CHS Social Studies teacher Mrs. Andrea Jenkins, six CHS students participated in the Ohio Center for Law Education's annual Mock Trial Competition at the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.

According to Jenkins, senior Avery Cox acted as Prosecuting Attorney, junior Madison Gothard was Prosecuting Attorney and Defense Witness Presley Aoki, senior Cary Lake was Prosecution Witness Grey Obisany and Defense Witness Ash Espinosa, sophomore Nehemiah Robinson was Defense Attorney and Prosecution Witness Officer Makani Kekoa, sophomore Alexis Tomblin was the Time Keeper, and junior Benjamin Yandila was the Defense Attorney and Bailiff.
