Freshman Wrestler places 3rd in State Tournament

Chillicothe High School's Cannan Smith ended his freshman season placing 3rd in the OHSAA State

Wrestling Tournament.

According to the CHS Cavalier Athletics Facebook page, Smith became the D2 113-lb 3rd place finisher after a 6-4 overtime win on Sunday. With that victory, Smith tied his dad -- Josh Smith -- as the highest placer in CHS wrestling history and became the only freshman to place at state for the Cavaliers' program.

Smith finished his season earning more than 50 wins for Chillicothe.
