Senior hits milestone in win against Hillsboro

The Lady Cavs volleyball team swept Hillsboro, 25-16, 25-14, 25-18, at home on Tuesday.

"Senior Avery Cox led with 29 assists, junior Miranda McCloy (contributed) 20 digs and 5 aces, and freshman Evelyn Hamman with 10 kills," said Coach Leslie Hamman.

Additionally, the senior setter earned her 1,000th career assist.

Coach Hamman described Cox "an amazing athlete on and off the court."

The volleyball team currently sits in second place in the FAC with a (7-2) conference record. The Lady Cavs will host Jackson for senior night Thursday, celebrating Cox, Mallory Seymour, Sam Schobelock, and Sophie Mickey.
