Chillicothe junior Karter Williams, at the Fairweather Relays, broke the 30-year high jump record set by Butch Howard.
Jumping a towering 6 feet 8 inches, Karter will now be put on Chillicothe's all-time record board with the highest high jump in school history.
Karter is a multi-sport athlete, participating in football, basketball, and track.
