The Chillicothe Cavaliers baseball program earned its first win of the season, defeating the Adena Warriors, 6-5, on Wednesday.

Butler connects on a pitch at VA Memorial Stadium (Mecca Richardson/Cavs Media).

According to CHS Coach Tom Barr, junior Coen Butler had the game-winning hit -- a walk-off in the bottom of the 7th.

Butler had a stellar offensive night, going 4-4 at the plate with 3RBI. Overall, the Cavalier offense had 11 hits against Adena.

CHS sophomore Jack Oyer worked the top of the 7th inning throwing only ten pitches to shut down the Warriors. Coach Barr said that Oyer faced three batters and struck out two.

The Cavaliers will be back on the field this afternoon at the Paints Classic to face Zane Trace.
