CHILLICOTHE, OH— The Chillicothe High School Marching Band has earned a spot in state-level competition after receiving a superior rating at their Nelsonville-York competitions.

The band achieved the highest possible score for musical performance, marching precision and overall showmanship. The achievement qualifies the group for the upcoming state finals sanctioned by the Ohio Music Education Association.

The Marching Band will now prepare to represent Chillicothe among Ohio’s top high-school ensembles at the state finals, scheduled for November. Community support and attendance are encouraged as the band heads into this major competition.
