The Cavaliers Boys Volleyball team has seen success over the past few days. According to Chillicothe Coach Andrew Vitatoe, the team rallied after being down 8 points in the third set to defeat Hilliard Bradley, 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-23), on Saturday.
In that match-up, Mercer Cutright had 15 kills, 7 digs, and 3 aces, while Lucas Sprague had 20 assists, 7 digs, 5 kills, and 3 blocks.
"(We) then traveled to Westfall on Monday to compete in the 10-team Greater Columbus Volleyball Conference finals," said Coach Vitatoe. "(The Cavaliers) completed their undefeated season in the GCVC by defeating St. Charles 2-0 (25-12, 25-22) to finish 9-0 in league play."

Cutright was named the GCVC Player of the Year, while Sprague and Justin Rubia were named to the GCVC's First Team. Elijah Hardiesty and Landen Cox were named Second Team GCVC, while Isaac Herlihy and Wesley Scott were Honorable Mention selections.
Chillicothe went on to sweep South High School, 3-0 (25-6, 25-12, 25-8), on Tuesday. According to Coach Vitatoe, Sprague had 7 aces and 8 assists, while Scott had 5 kills and 2 blocks.
The Cavaliers travel to Briggs this evening to conclude the regular season; moreover, the Cavaliers are the #2 seed in Region and begin post-season play hosting Patriot Prep at 6 p.m. on May 7th. If the Cavs are victorious on the 7th, they will host St. Francis DeSales on May 9th.
